My "Last" Day with my little Piper

Last Friday I had my last "working" day with Piper. I've watched this little girl every day since she was 6 months old. We've become very attached. I'm pretty sure this transition is harder on me than her!

Joel came down with me to enjoy my final day with Piper. This was a mistake. Piper loved having Joel there a little too much. She only wanted to spend time with him!!

We had a really fun morning at the aquarium. I'm ridiculously spoiled and have had the opportunity to visit all of Chicago's tourist spots while at work. These pics are pre-Nikon, photographing kids on your basic digital isn't the easiest task.

Chicago's aquarium is too fun!! We enjoyed the penguins, sharks, & my favorite: the dolphin show. Living life in a big city is very cool!

We tried taking cute pictures by the skyline, except the sun was too bright and the wind was too cold.

so we tried a few pics like this...

Then, we took Piper to her favorite lunch spot: Five Guys. I'm not a huge fan of the greasy burgers, but LOVE seeing this little girl so happy! Her pick: grilled cheese, fries, & peanuts. She could spend all day here!

Of course she wanted to sit next to Joel.

I'm so thankful it wasn't a goodbye forever...we already have "Piper & Amy" days scheduled in the next few weeks & saw each other twice last week! I adore this little girl so much and wish she could stay 2 1/2 forever! She is the sweetest kid I have ever met! My favorite thing to hear her say most recently is that she loves me from her head to her toes!

Little Piper, I love you from my head to my toes too! You have all the love in my heart a little girl could possibly have. Let's stay friends forever :)
