Over a month ago (I know...crazy late post again), Joel & I celebrated 3 years of marriage. I still can't believe he picked me to be his wife. The longer we're married, the more I realize what an extraordinary guy he is. I knew he was a good choice when I married him, but seriously I respect him more every day we're married.
We were so blessed by generous friends & family this anniversary which was incredibly helpful on our "almost done w/ seminary" budget. Our date budget is $18 a month and that includes anniversaries!! We never ever could enjoyed such a cool anniversary date with out super sweet people in our life!
The families I nanny were incredibly sweet gave us an overnight stay at a nice hotel downtown.

Our view...

we had a corner room--so this is the other side zoomed in on Buckingham fountain...

I really wished I would have taken a pic of our room, it was so, so nice!
We started our evening w/ a walk along the river

and then Joel told me I had to look cute--this is my awkward pose.

I hate being in pics by myself .
And then I thought Joel would look cute on the bridge....turned out to not be such a cute picture. We hardly took any pics of ourselves, so I figured I had to post this one on the blog!

We had a gift card to use at a nice restaurant. When we called to make reservations, they said reservations were full, but come and we'll seat you. so we showed up and they said, sorry, not tonight. We hit up Weber Grill instead...all dressed up :) 3 more weeks until we can have a grill back in our lives...we LOVE grilled food!

I love how they brought Joel wet wash cloths for his messy rib hands!

Fireworks from our hotel room.

We fell to sleep w/ this view all around us. Man, I love this city. I could fall asleep to this every night.

The next morning, we enjoyed a yummy breakfast at the hotel. I heart breakfast...a lot! I stuffed myself silly because it's really not that often that I get such yummy food for free :)
Late morning, we enjoyed a lake and river boat tour. Special thanks to Joel's parents for sending us anniversary money! We loved it and really wish we would have taken a boat tour sooner!!

It just doesn't seem real that we're moving and leaving this beautiful city.
