Our First Month in Pittsburgh

So I guess me being a stay at home wife hasn't helped my blogging, but I've thought about blogging a lot more. At least I'm making steps in the right direction, right???

A quick rundown of our first few weeks here....

We were so lucky to have Joel's parents meet us in Pittsburgh and help us unpack a hundred boxes, set up furniture, scrub this disgustingly dirty place, & take us out for dinner!! They're pretty amazing.

Our second week here was Joel's first week at work which entailed taking a bunch of high schoolers to camp in North Carolina for a week. Kitty & I missed him a lot!

Third week= Joel home, but very sick. High schoolers have a lot of germs and not much hygiene! Joel is loving his job, I'm loving staying home and being his wife. We spent Saturday doing a ton of driving to see my little sister graduate from Penn State.

This is me after a terrible bubble incident. My eyes felt pain like they had never felt before all because of a small little bottle of bubbles.

We've been trying out this tourist when Joel's not working....

Pittsburgh is a city of a lot of bridges, a lot of hills, and a lot of roads that make no sense at all. I am constantly getting lost with my GPS.

I think it'd be fun to live in the building that slopes down the mountain.

Week four= me sick, Joel happy at work, Kitty sleeping a lot

One huge perk to living in Pittsburgh-we're now just 4 hours from family! Quick rundown of family visits so far:
Week 1: Joel's parents visiting us
Week 2: Nate & Joanna (my bro and sister in law) visiting us
Week 3: us visiting family, then Kara & Brad spent a night at our place
Week 4: my parents visiting us

We certainly don't expect every week to look like this, but we're hoping our 2x/year statistic to see family will be improved :)

P.S. Our life is normal again. We like it!
