On October 11, 2009, we are going to complete a life goal of running 26.2 miles in the Chicago Marathon. We are partnering with World Vision to raise money to help children in Africa. The money will go to take care of children living in poverty. World Vision helps thousands of children who are malnourished, thirsty, lacking basic sanitation, facing AIDS, and a lack of education. We believe God cares deeply for the poor and calls the church to help those dealing with poverty and social injustice.
In the near future we will be posting a link to our fund raising site and sending out support letters. Please check it out!

I did a 5k at age 50 and that was for me. I am glad you are doing it for the Lord.
