Fall Party

I often wish I could just spend all day planning parties, couponing, decorating & being a stay at home wife with an unlimited budget :) Joel continues to assure me it won't be happening anytime soon!

We invited a few of our favorite people over (6 weeks ago! about time to post about it, right?) for a fall party at our house. We enjoyed fresh bread, salad, & 3 different home made soups: Potato Leek, Jamaican Pumpkin Soup, and Vegetable.

How cute is this? I really wanted to find field corn to place in the canning jars and put a candle on top, but Chicago doesn't sell any! I looked everywhere!

BYOP: Bring Your Own Pumpkin

Ben's $2 pumpkin
Becky's amazing carving job..just incredible...she did this with a $2 carving set from Walmart!

Erin enjoying the pumpkin cheese ball

Mulled wine cider in the crockpot, which didn't taste good, but the matching mugs we bought for everyone were super cute!

More matching glasses. We love hosting parties & thought it was time to ditch the plastic and give people real glasses.

The beverage table. It looked way cuter with all the beverages out! I love my new beverage tub that I picked up at Hobby Lobby! It wasn't meant to be a beverage tub, but is water proof and 1/4 of the price of beverage

Favor bags filled with our favorite iced pumpkin cookies.

and the recipe typed out...

Game Time

Wii time

We made apple dumplings for dessert--a PA favorite that all our guests from diff states loved!

We had so much fun! We only wish it was easier for this group of friends to find time to get together!
