Life goals we achieved in 2009:
1. Became Foster Parents
2. Ran a marathon

Goals set for 2010
1. JOEL EARN HIS M.DIV
Joel is on the fast track--we'd love for him to complete the 3-4 year program in 2 years!! Poor guy spends most of his life studying right now! We can't wait for this season of study to be over!2. REMEMBER TO SEND BIRTHDAY CARDS
In 2008 we did a great job of putting all the birthday's into a spreadsheet. In 2009 we purchased everyone's birthday card, but only a few were put in the mail. In 2010 we will be setting up an email reminder to remind us to put the cards in the mail!3. LOWER THE GROCERY BUDGET TO $65/WEEK INCLUDING TOILETRIES
I'm a bit obsessed with coupons. 2 years ago (before coupons) we spent $80-85/week at Aldi. Now we buy good Jewel food :) Saving $20/week is a savings of over $1,000/year.4. READ 52 BOOKS IN ONE YEAR
I'd love to read one book a week. I've been able to do this some weeks, but not every week this year. Hopefully writing this on a blog = accountability! Joel will be reading 19 books this 15 weeks alone just for school, not counting his "stay relevant in church ministry" books. Leaders gotta be readers :)5. COMPLETE A TRIATHLON
I'm not sure if we'll be able to do this because of money (& the whole time factor). We'd have to buy quality bikes, swim gear, new running shoes, & race registration = A LOT of $$$ & spend A LOT of time training. BUT, we are starting a pool membership soon to start training :)A few of our life goals yet to be achieved:
- Adopt children
- Become a diverse family
- Take a class and learn a new skill like pottery

Wow, I just did a day with the Lord, and wrote out goals as well. Some of ours are very similar.
-I too, have decided to do an encouragement card weekly to someone, either in the mail, or delivering by hand.
-I am NOT a reader, but want to read 2 books a month.
-I need to finish my Moody career...I still have a lit. class to take.
-And in the near future, I too hope to adopt.
Thanks for sharing!! Maybe I'll blog my goals as well....it certainly would not hurt!!
Have a great week!
Love, Jess
