My Very Own Chicago Poster

I am thoroughly enjoying our lifestyle change lately....we have a lot of free time on our hands & actually have time for hobbies. It's a beautiful thing! Whitney showed this DIY and I fell completely in love with the idea! I loved how it was so simple, incredibly sentimental, and was something I could actually do after a short lesson on Gimp from Joel.

We brainstormed a few Chicago places that are very special to us. Every word on this poster represents a unique memory we share: our first Chicago address, a few favorite date spots, the location we were engaged, and a few numbers that help us remember a race we ran in Chicago.

For now, it's going on top of our new book shelf. This apt has some crazy high walls and a lot of extra space that we're still trying to decorate on a limited budget.

And, even though it's totally unrelated to this post, a picture of Kitty...cuz she's just too cute!
