Our Summer Vacation

Because of our summer of transition, we never really had the opportunity to take a summer vacation. This past week, Joel had Monday-Tuesday off and I haven't "officially" started working yet, so we seized the opportunity to head a few hours north and visit a big waterfall.

Customs....I thought it was silly when they asked if we had pepper spray...yes, I use to live in Garfield Park and carry pepper spray w/ me ALL the time!

Here we are wishing we would have printed directions to get to our hotel....why does our GPS not have maps for Canada???

Walking the bridge...walking the park...a lot of walking to see beautiful falls...i just love walking on summer nights.

Yep, you can literally just walk into the water and go down a huge fall here...why aren't there fences to prevent these things from happening!?!?

Last time I was here, I was in my mom's belly, so I don't remember much from that trip.

Our morning walk

We had plans of riding the Maid of the Mist or going through the cave behind the falls and getting soaked, but decided to head back early and check out the wineries we had seen in northwestern PA....I think Joel & I found a new hobby. $1 to try 5 wines..too much fun!

I'm so lucky to be married to such a fun guy to vacation with :)
