Joel loves to cook....he really likes meat....and he really likes to grill. Joel's parent's surprised us with this grill this summer for Joel's graduation present.

(but really, it's our dream grill)
and we're totally obsessed with it.
The kind of obsession that makes us use it almost every day. We use it to cook our entire dinner some nights, including dessert. I highly recommend baking your brownies on the grill from now on.
Many, many, many months ago, Joel mentioned to me that he'd love to have a smoker someday. Our neighbor's in Chicago had one & their porch smelled amazing!
One day, I walked into my favorite thrift store and spotted this beauty for just $14 brand new. It retails for over $80 new.
Joel had a lot of fun smoking ribs for 9 hours one day a few weeks ago.
He even tried to make a little beef jerky.
I managed to try a few ribs that night...although I'm really not a fan of red meat clinging to a bone.
