I never thought about spray painting wicker. What a great idea. Your quest for a tray (very cute DIY project) made me realize I have an old tray I should either refurbish or freecycle. If you haven't already, you should check out freecycle.org in your area. It's a great way to get and give stuff, keeping it out of the landfills. All the best.
