Joel & Amy Style

Our apartment in Pittsburgh is a bit bigger than any place we've lived in before. We're slowly decorating this place and making it us. But honestly, there are a lot of empty corners and blank walls I'm not eager to show off. You haven't seen our home pictured on this blog yet, because it's just not finished.

But, I'm in love with one area of our place. Our bookshelf. It describes us. It's our style. Everything on it is Joel Amy.

I've had fun adding a few new pieces to our bookshelf the last couple of weeks. A few I purchased new and others were thrift store finds.

I've tried keeping wheat grass alive before. It didn't work. Wheat grass and I don't get along. I thought the $8 investment of fake wheat grass from Pier One was worth it. I'm only calling it an investment because it will stop me from buying real wheat grass in the future.

I miss Home Goods....like almost everyday I miss Home Goods. TJ Maxx and Marshalls just aren't as good, but I still visit them frequently. TJ Maxx made me smile the other day....I found this $10 treasure!!

I found the large basket from Goodwill for just $8 and added a little grass from Pier 1 for $4. These baskets retail for anywhere from $20-$40.

I love the way it matches the other baskets on the bookshelf.

Slowly, slowly this little place is feeling a little bit more like us.
