I miss a lot of things about our condo in Chicago, including our closets. We had 2 HUGE closets in our bedroom. They stored A LOT of stuff. I could keep my pile of clothes on the floor in my closet without Joel ever knowing!
When we moved, we downsized a dresser. Joel's dresser was always falling apart & we knew we were moving into a 3 bedroom place, so storage wouldn't be an issue, right? We had forgotten old apt's lack storage! For now, we're still happy with this free dresser we found on Craigslist 3 years ago!
and for the first time in our whole life, we're sharing a closet. Yes, one teeny, tiny closet. So far, it's working...it just takes a lot of organizing each day to keep both of us happy.
Before you feel too bad for us, our Pittsburgh apt came equipped with pretty much unlimited storage in the basement. We don't have to store Christmas decor and camping supplies in our bedroom closet anymore :)
