Pittsburgh Fall

One thing I love about Pittsburgh is fall.  I felt as though Chicago skipped over the season of fall pretty well.  I loved Chicago in September. The temperatures were lower, but the beautiful colors of fall were never displayed the way they are in PA...especially western PA.  The trees have been gorgeous the last few weeks.

Joel & I are loving life right now.  It almost makes our crazy work & school schedule the last 2 years worth it, although we'd still not recommend it to anyone! But, I do think we appreciate time to just sit and relax way more than we ever could have if our life had not been so crazy.  We are absolutely loving time for recreation, time for reading, and time for long chats these days. Joel frequently says to me, "don't you just love life right now?"

On Monday, we drove to McConnellsmill for a little hiking ( the most challenging hiking I've ever done!).  I'm a total safe freak & don't like the idea of lots of rocks that could make me fall and break bones.

We carved our pumpkins this week. Yep, I chose a cat. I LOVE cats :)

And, watched our neighborhood Halloween parade this morning.

I promise you, we are really enjoying this time of our life without kids right now knowing that we could have foster kids at any minute, BUT watching a parade of little kids all dressed up made we want a child, just for today, that I could dress up.  Some of these kids were way too cute!

Joel can't wait to let out kids drive their "own" car in the parade.

I can't believe we're decorating for Christmas tomorrow!!
